Webinar on the future ISO 14097 Standard on climate change and the finance sector

Be among the first financial institutions to learn about the new standard, road-test and have your say!

Are you interested in learning more about the first international standard providing guidance on the assessment and reporting of investment and financing activities related to climate change? Do you want to find out how to better identify and monitor the impact of your climate actions? Better yet, do you want to directly contribute to this process as one of the first road-testers of the future ISO 14097 Standard?

On June 9 at 4pm CEST, join us for a webinar about the future ISO 14097 standard, and learn how you can become one of the first pilot testers. Please note that the webinar will be in Spanish.

More about the standard: The future ISO 14097 Standard responds directly to a growing problem: while sustainable finance is a burgeoning field, standards and other frameworks for measuring and reporting the impacts of investment activities are still in their infancy. Without agreed-upon standards, investing and financing activities related to climate change run the risk of greenwashing, leaving investors and regulators with little information about the impact of their activities. In response, the future ISO 14097 Standard aims to create a common framework for assessing and reporting financing and investment activities related to climate change.

About our funders: This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 785087.

It has also received funding from the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) supports this initiative on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag.

2DII today announced it is transferring stewardship of the Paris Agreement Capital Transition Assessment (PACTA) to RMI, formerly Rocky Mountain Institute. PACTA measures financial portfolios' alignment with various climate scenarios, including those consistent with the Paris Agreement. Under RMI’s stewardship, PACTA will remain a free, independent, open-source methodology and tool, and will continue to provide the financial and supervisory community with forward-looking, science-based scenario analysis to help users make climate-aligned financing decisions. RMI will invest in scaling up PACTA’s usability and applicability in day-to-day investment decisions as well as reporting requirements.
