Alternance/co-op role (Communications)

We are recruiting for an alternance/co-op position, to work primarily on communications for our Retail Investing Program.

The 2° Investing Initiative (2DII) is an independent, non-profit think tank working to align financial markets and regulations with the Paris Agreement goals. Globally focused with offices in Paris, Berlin, New York, London, and Brussels, 2DII coordinates some of the world’s largest research projects on sustainable finance. Our work is focused around four main research streams: Retail Investing; PACTA/Climate Scenario Analysis; Impact; and Long-term Risk Management and Supervision.

2DII’s Retail Investing Program employs data-driven research, legal analysis, product development, and communications tools to integrate sustainability into the retail investing market. One of our key areas of work under this program is the sustainable investing resource platform, MyFairMoney, which is live in Germany and will soon be launched across the European market. Position summary

The Alternant.e will work closely with the Retail Investing and Communications teams to help drive awareness of the program, in addition to contributing to other communications work at 2DII. This role is an excellent opportunity to learn more about communications, climate change and finance, and to work at one of the most well-recognized think tanks in the sector.

The successful candidate will be fluent in French and English.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to the design and execution of integrated digital communications campaigns in French and English, with a special focus on the MyFairMoney platform
  • Assisting with social media management (campaigns, content creation, community management, analytics, etc.)
  • Content creation, proofreading, and editing (website content, newsletters, blogs, visuals, etc.)
  • User outreach and engagement, with a special focus on MyFairMoney
  • Liaising with external partners (NGOs, universities, etc.) and providers (web developers, designers, PR agencies, etc.)
  • Market research, analysis and benchmarking
  • Assistance with media relations and monitoring
  • Assistance with the organization of events, webinars, etc.

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Studying (master’s level) in the communications, journalism/media, business, finance, climate or sustainability field
  • Available to spend one full year (ideally two) in the role (i.e. 4th-5th year of your studies)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in French and English
  • Previous experience with, or willingness to learn about, communications and social media
  • Experience with various communications tools/software (social media management, CMS, analytics, design/video editing software is a plus
  • Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of, or interest in, climate or finance-related issues is a plus!
  • Willingness to apply even if you don’t tick all the boxes!
