Mona is a Program Manager at the New York office of the 2° Investing Initiative.

Mona is leading the 2° Investing Initiative’s research project on the ‘Tragedy of the Horizon’ in collaboration with the Generation Foundation. Previously, Mona worked as a political consultant providing strategic research to the Obama Administration. In this role she presented strategic policy and communications advice to White House officials on issues such as international diplomacy, trade agreements and energy policy, including the EPA’s Clean Power Plan, which set the first ever federal carbon pollution standards for power plants in the United States.

Prior to that, Mona worked as an Analyst at the Bank of England, where she led the BoE’s research on alternative currency schemes, reviewing their overall risk to both UK monetary and financial stability. Mona also brings with her extensive project management experience as she devised the strategy for an industry-wide Code of Conduct in partnership with BoE stakeholders, and project managed its implementation across more than 300 firms in the UK banking, financial and retail sectors.

Mona graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Government and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
