Romain Poivet

Romain is Climate Program Officer at the French Environmental and Energy Management Agency (ADEME). He specializes in climate mitigation strategies for organisations. Since 2009, he has coordinated and supported about fifteen sectoral methodologies included the financial sector, retail, chemical, food and construction. He is also involved in technical aspects of the French GHG reporting mandatory programs. Romain is the co-author of the ADEME’s methodology for quantifying the GHG impacts of mitigation actions. Since the launch of the Environmental Footprint pilot phase led by European Commission, he has represented France in the technical secretariat of Organisation Environmental Footprint Sector Rules for the retail sector. Before joining ADEME, Romain worked as consultant specialized in industrial and environmental risk management and corporate carbon footprint. Romain holds an Engineering Degree in industrial and environmental risk management.
